Cabling and bracing can be an excellent way to extend the life of a tree. Many trees have structural defects, but do not need to be removed. Our arborists are trained to identify these sorts of problems.
Cabling is the installation of cables between major structural limbs within a tree. This additional support will not only strengthen a tree, but prevent or reduce storm damage from wind, snow, and ice loads.
Bracing is usually the installation of a steel rod to protect a weak or split crotch. This rod is supported by cables installed in the canopy.
