The original business

Tree work

Trimming, removal, stump grinding and storm response, climbed and cut by our own crews to ANSI A300.

Trunk injection treatment on a mature tree in Omaha

Treatment, not cutting

Plant health care

Injections, deep root feeding and the annual program that keeps a mature tree out of the removal conversation.

Maintained lawn on a property in the Omaha metro

The rest of the yard

Lawn and pest

Fertilization, aeration, weeds, grubs, mosquitoes and ticks, all on the eastern Nebraska calendar.

Lit evergreen in an Omaha yard in winter

Same crew, December

Holiday lighting

The climbers who prune the spruce in March are the ones who light it, which is why it gets hung properly.

Why People Call: Overgrown Trees, Storm Damage and Declining Trees

Arborist reducing limbs over an Omaha rooftop

Most requested

A tree that has gotten too big for the house

Limbs over the roof, deadwood coming down in every wind. Pruned properly it is a morning's work and the tree keeps living.

Storm-downed tree across an Omaha property

Fastest response

Something came down in the night

A trunk on the garage, a split union over the neighbor's fence. We answer at any hour and carry the insurance that makes it a safe call.

Tree canopy showing early decline in an Omaha yard

Most preventable

A tree that is quietly dying

Thin at the top, yellow between the veins, needles dropping bottom-up. Caught in the first season most of these are treatable. In the third, most are not.

If one of these sounds like your yard, an arborist can be out this week.

Treat or Remove? How We Decide Whether Your Tree Is Worth Saving

Get a risk assessment

Worth keeping

It gets treated

The lean has not changed in years

A tree that always grew at an angle has built the wood to hold it. The root plate is flat and the soil undisturbed.

The thinning starts at the branch tips

Dieback working inward from the ends is usually drought, compaction or a deficiency. All three are treatable.

The problem has a name

Borer, aphid, needle cast, chlorosis. Once it is named it is a scheduling question, not a removal one.

Nothing is soft at the root flare

No mushroom shelf, no hollow note, no bark sloughing at the base. The structure underneath still works.

Past saving

It comes out

More than half the crown is dead

There is not enough living canopy left to feed the roots back into recovery, whatever gets injected.

Decay has hollowed the trunk

Sound outer wood can hide a column of rot where the tree has to be strongest, and no treatment rebuilds it.

The whole tree has moved

Fresh soil lifted on one side means the root plate is failing. Same-week conversation, not a spring one.

An untreated ash, after the borer

Emerald ash borer is preventable and not curable. Once the canopy is gone the wood turns brittle fast.

Tree Removal Cost vs. Preventive Plant Health Care, Drawn to Scale

See pricing
Eden Tree Pros crew clearing brush from an Omaha yard

One call, once, when something is already wrong

$1,000 – $8,000

Removal is the most expensive thing on our price list, and almost every one started as something smaller nobody looked at. Big, old and close to the house is the top of the range.

The same tree, treated on a schedule instead

A fraction of it

Injections, feeding and a pruning visit spread across the years the tree is living — and still shading the house.

Mosquito and tick control for a season

$650 – $1,200

Priced by lot size and quoted for the season, so nobody is deciding in July whether this month's spray is worth it.

Removal ranges are current published figures and vary with size, access and what is underneath the tree. Mosquito pricing is by lot size, per season.

What people say after the trucks leave

Common Questions About Working With Eden Tree Pros

Ask us something else

Which of these do I actually need?

Most people do not, and it is not their job to. Send a photo and a sentence about what worries you and an arborist will tell you which department it is. A good share of removal requests turn out to be pruning jobs, and a few pruning requests turn out to be a tree that should have come down two winters ago.

Do you use your own crews for all of it?

Yes. Tree, plant health care, lawn and lighting are all Eden employees. That is why the same faces turn up in March and December, and why the insurance on the work is ours rather than a subcontractor's.

Are you licensed and insured?

General liability and workers' compensation, both carried, with certificates sent the same day you ask. Tree work is one of the more dangerous trades in the country, and an uninsured crew in your yard is your exposure, not theirs.

What does an estimate cost?

Nothing. An experienced arborist walks the property with you and puts the price in writing before anything is booked. If the tree does not need the work, the estimate says so.

How quickly can you get here?

Storm work is same day and the phone is answered at any hour. Routine estimates are usually inside a week. Treatment work is booked to the calendar the treatment needs, which sometimes means a date two months out and an explanation of why.

Can I bundle services on one visit?

That is most of what we do. A pruning visit and a soil injection on one trip costs less than two, and the arborist is already under the tree. Ask when you book.

Do you work on commercial properties?

Yes: HOAs, apartment complexes, churches and business parks across the metro. Larger sites usually start with a written risk assessment, so there is a record of what was inspected and when.

How far do you travel?

26 towns across the metro, from Elkhorn and Gretna in the west to Council Bluffs across the river. If you are unsure whether your address is on the route, ask. The answer is usually yes.

Every estimate is free and it comes in writing before anything is booked.

Before You Book: What the First Estimate Visit Is Actually Like

Book a free estimate

From the first photo to the written price

You send a photo

One picture and a sentence gets a useful answer faster than a phone description does.

An arborist comes out

Not a salesperson with a tablet. The person walking your property is the one who knows what he is looking at.

You get told what it actually is

Sometimes that is a treatment plan. Often it is that the tree is fine and nothing needs doing this year.

The price arrives in writing

Scope, access, cleanup and the number, before booking, so nothing changes once the trucks are in the driveway.

You decide, on your time

No expiring discount and nobody calls three times. The estimate holds.

Estimates are free across all four departments, including the ones where the answer turns out to be that nothing needs doing.
