Twenty-six towns is a strange thing to advertise, because the number by itself means nothing. Any company with a truck and a tank of gas can drive to Wahoo once. What matters is whether the person who shows up has been in that soil before, and whether they will still be answering the phone about that tree in four years.
The Omaha metro is not one growing environment, and treating it as one is how trees get the wrong prescription. The alkaline clay that turns a Sarpy County maple yellow is a different problem from the borer pressure on a hundred-year-old ash in Dundee, which is different again from needle cast running through a spruce windbreak west of Waterloo. Same company, same standards, three different conversations.
That is the whole argument for a local company over a national brand with a franchise in this market. We are not applying a national program to a Nebraska yard. The shop is in Gretna, the arborists live here, and the trees on this route are the ones we have been pruning since 1997.
