Common questions about brush removal in Omaha
Ask us something elseDo I have to stack the brush first?
No, and stacking it badly can actually slow us down. If you want to help, pile it loosely with the cut ends facing the same direction and keep it clear of fences and cars. If you would rather leave it where it fell, that is fine too and it is what most storm work looks like anyway.
Will you take brush I cut myself?
Yes. Plenty of this work is clearing up after somebody's own weekend with a chainsaw. What we cannot take is a pile with trash, soil, rock or treated lumber mixed into it, because chippers and green-waste sites both object.
What happens to the chips?
Your call, on the estimate. Left in a pile they are good mulch for beds and paths and they cost nothing. Otherwise they go on the truck with everything else. Chips are not suitable straight around new plantings, because fresh wood ties up nitrogen while it breaks down.
Can you get to the back yard?
Usually, and gate width is the thing that decides it. If a chipper cannot reach the pile, the brush gets dragged to the truck, which takes longer and is the main reason two similar-looking piles are quoted differently. Tell us about gates and slopes when you call.
Do you do land clearing?
Not by the acre. Clearing a fence line, a tree row or an overgrown corner is our work; clearing a lot down to bare ground is an excavation job with different machines, and we will point you at somebody who does that rather than pretend otherwise.
