The four that carry most of the work
All servicesAnnual Tree & Shrub Program
Scheduled visits across the year instead of one-off calls after something goes wrong.
Emerald Ash Borer Treatment
Trunk injection on a two-year cycle, and an honest answer on whether the ash is worth it.
Iron Injections
For pin oak, river birch and maple gone yellow between green veins in our alkaline clay.
Deep Root Fertilization
Feeding where the fine roots actually are, which is the top few inches and not down a hole.
Not sure what is wrong with it? Send a photo of the leaves and the whole tree. That is usually enough.

What we treat, and when it is worth treating
All 36 problems we treatNeedle Cast
Spruce thinning from the bottom up and from the inside out. Treatable, on a schedule, and slow to reverse.
Bagworm Control
A three-week hatch window in late May. Miss it and you are waiting a year with bags on the tree.
Japanese Beetle
Skeletonized leaves on linden, birch and roses through July. Managed rather than eliminated.
Borer Control
Bronze birch borer and the rest. Prevention works; once they are established it is much harder.
Apple Scab & Rust
Crabapples dropping their leaves in July. Timed at bud break, which is the only time it works.
Aphid Control
The sticky film on the car under the tree. Cosmetic on a healthy tree, worth treating on a stressed one.
One visit identifies every one of these on your property, and it costs nothing.

Common questions about treating trees in Omaha
Ask us something elseWhat is plant health care?
Keeping trees and shrubs alive and healthy rather than cutting them. Feeding, treating pests and disease, correcting deficiencies in the soil, and doing all of it on the calendar the problem runs on rather than when somebody notices. It is the difference between a tree company and an arborist practice.
Is a program better than calling when something looks wrong?
For most mature trees, yes, and the reason is timing. Bagworm is treatable in a three-week window and untreatable outside it. Apple scab has to go on at bud break, weeks before the symptoms appear. Iron chlorosis is easiest to fix before the canopy is half yellow. By the time a homeowner notices, the window for the cheap version has usually closed.
Are the treatments safe around children and pets?
Trunk injection puts the product inside the tree, so there is nothing on the surface to contact and nothing to drift. Where a foliar spray is genuinely the right tool, we tell you what is going on, when it is safe to be back on the lawn, and we will reschedule around a party or a dog rather than argue about it.
Do you use the same treatment on every tree?
No, and a company that does is selling a route rather than a diagnosis. Different species in this metro fail in different, predictable ways — ash to borer, pin oak and river birch to chlorosis, spruce to needle cast, crabapple to scab. The program is built from what is actually standing in your yard.
How much does a plant health care program cost?
It depends on how many trees, how big they are and what they need, so it is quoted after somebody has walked the property. What we can say is that treatment is always cheaper than replacement, and that the visit to work it out is free.
Will one treatment fix it?
Sometimes, and often not. Iron injection greens a tree back up within weeks and lasts a few years. Emerald ash borer is a cycle for the life of the tree. Needle cast takes several seasons to turn around because the tree has to grow the needles it lost. We tell you which of those you are buying before you buy it.
