Yes. Storm calls come to 402-332-2839 and reach somebody who does this work rather than a call center reading a script. If it is genuinely dangerous we will tell you what to do about it before we talk about scheduling anything.
A tree is on the power line. Who do I call?
OPPD first, always, and then us. We do not touch a tree in contact with a live service line and neither should anybody else — the utility de-energizes it or drops the line, and once it is safe we clear the tree. Anyone who offers to cut it before that call has been made is telling you something about how they work.
Will insurance cover storm damage?
Usually, when the tree hit something. Most policies cover removing a tree that has landed on a structure, and often the repair, but do not cover clearing a tree that came down harmlessly in the yard. Deductibles and caps vary enough that your carrier is the one to ask. What we can do is make the claim easy: photographs before anything moves, an itemized written scope, and our certificates sent straight through.
How fast can you actually get here?
Same day for anything on a structure, and often within a few hours. After a metro-wide storm that changes — when the whole city calls at once we triage by what is dangerous rather than by who called first, and a limb over a bedroom goes ahead of a tree lying in a back yard. We will tell you honestly where you sit in that queue instead of promising a time we cannot hold.
Do I need to be home?
For an emergency, no. If a tree is on the house we would rather start than wait for you to drive back from work. Send us a photo, tell us what is where, and we will call you from the site with what we found.
What does emergency work cost compared to scheduled work?
More, and honestly so. Storm work is out of hours, it is rigging rather than felling because everything is under load, and the wood is sitting on something that has to be protected. What we will not do is invent a number because it is raining and you are stuck — the price comes in writing before the saws start, the same as any other job.
